Thematic Expert

 Responsibilities:

 • Generate awareness among key stakeholders to create an enabling environment for women’s participation in water governance and management. 

 • Support government officials, frontline functionaries, PRI representatives, and SHG leaders on gender mainstreaming. 

 • Conduct orientations for PRI members on gender-responsive budgeting and facilitate gender-sensitive audits in panchayats. 

 • Conduct seminars for elected women representatives and strengthen the capacities of community institutions on water governance and management 

 • Facilitate microplanning and Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops for facilitating planning processes with community institutions such as VPRP GPDP and INRM planning.

 • Organise workshops to strengthen the knowledge and skills of women water volunteers. 

 • Coordinate with relevant government departments, PRIs, and key functionaries to support programme implementation.

 • Prepare and disseminate information, communication, and awareness materials.

 • Prepare and submit reports for relevant agencies and internal review.

 Eligibility criteria: Post Graduate or graduate, minimum 15 years formal education. 

 Place of posting/Location Sonua, West Singhbhum, Jharkhand.

 Proposed Salary range INR 3.6 lakh - 4.8 lakh CTC p.a. based on experience and qualification (As per PRADAN pay structure for FTEs)

 Nature of job 1 year Fixed-term contract and extendable based on performance Last date of Application 7th October, 2026 

 Preference

 • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the development sector, preferably in areas such as Natural Resource Management (NRM), WASH, Water Management, Local Governance, or Gender. 

 • Willingness to undertake extensive field travel. A valid driving licence and ownership of a two-wheeler will be an added advantage.
