Opportunities on the Platform are posted by the organisations offering them. DevelopmentWala is not the employer, funder, awarding body or organiser for any listing, and is not a party to any agreement you enter into with an organisation you find here.

Selection decisions, interview processes, contracts, salaries, stipends, grant awards and working conditions are determined entirely by the posting organisation. We have no authority over them and cannot influence the outcome of any application.

DevelopmentWala never asks candidates for payment, at any stage, for any reason.

We do not charge candidates registration fees, application fees, processing fees, training fees, security deposits or fees to “release” an offer letter. Any message that does so is not from us, whatever address or logo it appears under.

Genuine social-sector employers do not ask applicants for money either. Please treat the following as warning signs:

• A request for payment of any kind, including for a “verification”, “registration” or “document processing” fee.
• An offer made without any interview, or immediately after a very short chat on a messaging app.
• Pressure to decide or pay quickly, or a deadline of a few hours.
• Requests for your bank credentials, card numbers, UPI PIN or an OTP. No legitimate recruiter needs any of these.
• Correspondence from a free personal email account for what claims to be a large organisation.
• A request to move the conversation off the Platform straight away.

If you encounter any of this, please stop, do not pay, and report it to us at mail@developmentwala.org with a screenshot. We will investigate and remove the listing where it is fraudulent.

Listing content — descriptions, eligibility criteria, locations, compensation, deadlines and contact details — is supplied by the posting organisation. We review organisations before approving them to publish, but we do not independently verify every statement in every listing.

We therefore make no warranty that any listing is complete, accurate, current, or that the opportunity remains open. Please confirm the details directly with the organisation before acting on them, and particularly before travelling, resigning from a position, or paying anything to a third party.

Where we are told a listing is inaccurate, misleading or closed, we will review it and remove or correct it as appropriate.

We provide access to the Platform and its features. We do not promise:

• That you will receive applications, interviews, an offer, a grant, admission or a placement.
• Any particular number or quality of applicants for a posted opportunity.
• That a profile, alert or recommendation will produce a match.

Matching, recommendations and match scores are automated aids based on the information available to us. They are indicative only, and should not be treated as an assessment of any person's suitability or of any organisation's merit.

Organisations are reviewed by our team before their profile and listings become publicly visible. That review is a reasonable check of the information and documents submitted to us.

It is not an audit, an endorsement, an accreditation, or a statement about an organisation's finances, governance, legal compliance or working culture. Approval on the Platform should not be read as a recommendation.

Content on the Platform — including articles, guides, salary information, and career or funding resources — is provided for general information only. It is not legal, financial, immigration, tax or career advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

The Platform links to external websites, including organisation websites and application portals. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices, and a link does not imply endorsement.

Once you leave the Platform, the terms and policies of the destination site apply.

We work to keep the Platform available and secure, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Access may be suspended for maintenance, or interrupted by events outside our reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevelopmentWala is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on Platform content, from dealings with any organisation or candidate found through the Platform, or from any recruitment fraud committed by a third party.
