About the Role

The State Academic Expert will support curriculum development, teacher and parent training, educational content creation, and implementation of early childhood care and education initiatives in Meghalaya. The role involves working closely with education teams, government stakeholders, and field teams to ensure high-quality learning experiences for children aged 0–6 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review early childhood education curricula for children aged 0–3 and 3–6 years.

• Support the creation, translation, scripting, and quality assurance of educational content and training materials.

• Facilitate teacher and parent training sessions, both online and in person.

• Conduct field visits to observe training quality, provide mentoring, and gather feedback.

• Support pilot testing of educational videos, games, worksheets, and other learning resources.

• Collaborate with state teams and subject matter experts to align educational content with state and national standards.

• Maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and support programme implementation.

• Contribute to digital learning platforms, educational tools, and continuous programme improvement.

Eligibility Criteria

• Degree or certification in Education, Early Childhood Care and Education, Child Psychology and Development, Teacher Training, or Social Work.

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in education, curriculum development, teaching, or teacher training.

• Strong understanding of early childhood learning and development.

• Fluency in Garo and English; working knowledge of Hindi preferred.

• Comfortable presenting on camera and using digital tools.

• Willingness to travel for field visits, training sessions, and educational content production.

• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-growing organisation.
